Remote controlled vehicles are more than just toys especially if you buy the slightly more expensive and advanced models. It becomes more of a hobby where you can do many things such as testing your vehicle in new terrain or participating in intense races with other RC vehicles. In fact, you can take that hobby even further by getting involved with hobby RC airplanes that literally take your remote control experience to new heights. When you first got into RC cars, you should have experienced the time when you had to choose from all these different models. Expect to go through that again because there are different types of RC plane models each with their strengths and weaknesses. Some of these hobby RC airplanes are intended for experienced flyers but others are very easy for beginners to try out.

Trainer Airplanes

The trainer RC airplanes are the best choice for any beginner that wants to know basic flying tips and general fundamentals that apply to the advanced models. Their performance is best if you fly them when the weather is calm and not excessively windy. You even get a better experience if you can find a trainer that can teach you all the nice things you can do with these basic models.

Park Airplanes

Park airplanes are similar to trainer hobby RC airplanes in terms of level of experience but they are smaller in size making them more suitable for smaller areas like parks and backyards. Many of these planes are handheld so you can travel easier with them.

Foam Airplanes

Foam airplanes are best described as lightweight and durable at the same time. The foam material makes them extremely safe and crashing the RC plane should not really inflict much damage. If ever you have damaged parts, finding foam materials are easy to come by. It is even better if you get the hobby RC airplanes that are made of expanded polypropylene (EPP). You can even fly these during a rainy day as the material is waterproof. These foam hobby RC airplanes also fall in the category of electric powered airplanes because they make use of batteries rather than gasoline. This also brings down the operating and maintenance costs. If you have that artistic ability, you can try customizing or painting them as well.

Electric Powered Airplanes

Electric powered airplanes serve as a nice balance between price and performance. If the above-mentioned types of hobby RC airplanes are too basic or limited in function, a safe step ahead would be to go for any of the other electric powered airplanes that you find in stores. You won’t have to worry about things like nitro or gasoline so you can spend more time flying and replacing or recharging batteries the same way you would charge normal electronic devices.

Gas Powered Airplanes

Gas powered hobby rc airplanes are for the enthusiasts that want extra performance and realism. Only try these types of RC planes if you are very familiar in maneuvering the electric airplanes. Although they require more maintenance and skill, you get more flexibility and sophisticated controls so you can do all kinds of exhibition moves. From there, you can even go more advanced by trying to fly jet engine powered RC planes that real flight experts use.

RC Airplane offers high quality, affordable hobby rc airplanes and Accessories that are perfect for the whole family!

If one wishes to get their hands on additional storage and not spend extra money in the process, the easiest solution to that is building a wooden shed. Unlike olden days, there are many ways one can build a sturdy shed that will not collapse even if it is constructed by amateurs. However, one needs to keep in mind some factors before building the shed. One of them is buying a wood shed kit which has all the necessary equipments in it. Most of them may not have all the equipment one needs, just the basic ones. Others have the equipment cut out for the convenience of the users.

While building a wooden shed, one needs to know the location, where one wants to build it. There has to be a proper foundation. The ground needs to be levelled and one needs to lay down some kind of foundation, so that the structure does not collapse. The local codes of the building can help a person to choose what kind of foundation he may use to construct his shed. The most obvious and basic form of foundation is concrete. It usually does not sets in fast and the contents of the shed remain safe, durable, clean and dry.

At times, building wooden sheds may be a little more difficult than what is projected. Contrary to scenes of 8 year olds hammering away at a wooden piece, the scene cannot be more different in real life. It requires extensive planning and co-ordination to build the shed of one’s dreams. There is no guesswork involved in the construction. One should know how to insulate and waterproof the shed, the correct way. One should learn to insulate and waterproof the shed the correct way. The wooden shed plans should be shown from various views and angles, so that the design can be understood from all directions.

There is a lot of planning that goes into the construction of a proper, sturdy shed. First one needs to know what kind of shed is he/she planning to build? It can be anything from a simple lean to a cottage. For instance there are numerous types such as storage shed, garage, boat shed, barn, Cabana and so on. Fortunately, the list does not stop there. One can download shed plans from the Internet, for free. One may even do their own measurements and drawings but this may be a little tough for an amateur. Following the plans, one may need a list of materials and tools. To avoid wasting time on one’s project, here are some pointers to keep in mind:

Keep everything within reach, before starting
Wood and accessories need to be inspected to eliminate damage possibilities
The specific, prescribed tools must be used for construction, not the second best substitute.
One needs to have a proper time period of the project. The weather must be noted.
Do remember to keep schedule free of vacations, holiday schedules, family vacations and so on.

Battery is generally cylindrical in shape with two terminals, one positive electrode and one negative electrode that conduct electricity along with a substance called electrolyte, that works on the electrodes, chemically and help convert into electrical energy. There is a copper wire that connects the two electrodes. Materials that are used in batteries are carbon, alkaline, chlorine, lithium ion, lead, nickel, sodium, silicon, copper, etc.

Batteries are classified into two- Dry cells and wet cells. The wet cell batteries are also termed storage battery ( VGP-BPS8) as they can be recharged as many times as possible. Batteries are also divided as rechargeable and non-rechargeable or disposable batteries for vgp-bps9. The second type is again termed as primary cells, used till the chemical that produce the electrical current supply is fully consumed, at which point the battery is not needed anymore. These types of batteries are used very commonly in small and portable piece of equipments that drain low current.

The other type is rechargeable or in other words secondary ells that can be “refueled” even after being completely consumed. For recharging, these batteries need some external help from devices as chargers or re-chargers.

In the present world due to the development of science and technology almost everything (papers, plastics, aluminum, etc.) can be recycled without wasting it by just throwing it after use. Thus we see that recycling is a procedure by which waste products are recovered for reusing, which is also known as waste management.

ecycling falls under electronic waste or e-waste. Here any discarded, broken or unwanted electrical or electronic equipments, containing toxic materials are recycled for further use. Batteries like, nickel-cadmium, lead, lithium batteries are made to reuse as the chemicals present in them can cause harm to the environment if allowed to stay long in open air after being discarded by the users. Moreover batteries are regarded as the most expensive energy source and their production requires much valuable recourse, so they are recycled so as to restore those valuable materials from those old and used batteries through battery recyling.

Cadmium is a heavy metal and can cause pollution if burned or cremated. To avoid lead pollution lead-aced batteries are processed. This program is considered to be highly successful. Lithium-ioncan be very dangerous if exposed to high temperature or sunlight, it can ignite or explode. Therefore battery recycling is a must if we want to protect our environment.

The Recycling Process:

First of all, the batteries to be recycled are sorted according to chemistries such as nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal-hydride, lithium , alkaline etc. The combustible material, such as plastics and insulation, is then removed with a gas fired thermal oxidizer, which is the first step in the recycling process. Most recycling plants have scrubbers where the gases from the thermal oxidizer are neutralized to remove pollutants, producing clean, naked cells that contain precious metal content.

The metal in the are then heated to liquefy, after they have been hacked into little pieces. Black slag left by burned out non-metallic substances are scraped off with a slag arm, and the different alloys that settle according to weight are skimmed off. Some plants pour the liquid metals directly into (65 pounds) or ‘hogs’ (2000 pounds) without separating on site, which are then shipped to metal recovery plants to produce nickel, chromium and iron re-melt alloy for the manufacturing of other metal products.

State and Federal Regulations in the United States:

The Mercury-Containing and Rechargeable Battery Management Act was passed in 1996 by the U.S. Congress which requires regulated batteries such as Ni-CD batteries and sealed lead-acid batteries to:
1. be easily removable from consumer products to make VGP-BPS9/B easier to recover them for recycling
2. include in the label the battery chemistry, the “three chasing arrows” symbol, and a phrase that instructs users to properly recycle or dispose the battery
3. provide national uniformity in collection, storage, and transport
4. phase out the use of certain mercury-containing batteries

By recycling batteries the environment is not being polluted nearly as much, many natural resources are saved due to the rechargeable lso. There is a large variety of websites on the Internet with more quality information on recycling batteries.
